Ugh, hate hobbling around like a lame horse. That combined with the busy day and the tiredness of a late night a the pub has left me a little loopy.
Oh well, time for some buffalo burgers and some well deserved sleep.

When Swedish Chicks Attack…
For those who have doubted their existence, may I present Lena and Jonna; our two resident Swedes. It is with great sadness that they will be vacating the habitat this week- as their grad student work is coming to an end. They have been exemplary roommates in every respect, clean, polite, fun, smart and damn good conversationalists; and sadly whomever fills their vacancy will have one hell of a yardstick to measure up to…
And speaking of the habitat, I don’t know how I managed it, but I ended up ramming my right foot in the space between the floor an my couch, which tore off a chunk of skin and left a huge bruise on the top of my foot (photos tomorrow)
And jeez, today is last day on taxes- wow- I don’t understand that particular brand of procrastination: if you’re getting money back, wouldn’t you rather have it sooner? And if you owe- wouldn’t it be easier while you may have a chunk of Xmas bonus, year-end bonus, or at least sold off part of your Xmas/Hanukkah present stash to pay said taxes, while they still look new? Wow, its been so long since mine were done, got the money back, spent it; it feels like I should file again…

Those who work at Auto Shows shouldn’t drive Pinto Hatchbacks
Damn, the weather is far too nice to even contemplate anything today. This is the rare day of sunny, warm, dry and perfect for chilling on the grass in Bryant Park, iced-coffee in hand, watching secretaries on their lunch hour peel off the outer layer of winter wardrobe in order to absorb life giving rays from the sun…
It also means time to get off my goldbricking ass and pull out the old rollerblades, clean them up and remove years of NYC crud from the bearings and get some damn exercise. And for a speed demon like myself, nothing beats a full-on jam session down the middle of Broadway during rush hour, wind in the face, full on real-life video game mode, with a killer soundtrack, courtesy of the ol’ walkman.
And then running over some yuppie in a Brook’s Bros. suit who can’t look both ways before he crosses the street.

Weekend adventures…
For those looking for their Fletcher fix, I swear I’ll get on the ball tomorrow- still recovering from the weekend and my weakened auto-immune system…
But, in a nutshell, it was fun.
