I had originally gotten into blogging as a cathartic release over a bad breakup - to avoid going on a bender of monsterous proportions, if you look back in the archives, there are many lurid tales of anger, long nights at the pub, and rants about my cubicle McJob…

In 2007 - the 9 to 5 job ended when the company I was working for, folded up its local offices, leaving me unemployed, collecting government checks and debating ‘what the hell do I do with myself now?’

This here online journal (I hate the word ‘blog’ - sounds like a foul bodily function) had evolved when I ran into the ex - and discovered that I no longer had ill feelings, and that if I was going to make a go of it as a freelance artist, that I would change the tone to reflect my pursuit of fame, fortune and those activities that I enjoy the most, namely Photo editing and retouching, painting and making films.

It now serves as an online touchstone about how one goes about making a career in the arts, the pitfalls, and maybe - a warning to those whose ambitions reach further than working in a office and yearn to do more…
